I Can’t Drive 55…But I Can Drive 80
For South Dakotans we have gotten used to pushing the pedal down a bit harder for quite a few years now. In fact, the two state Interstate highways, I-90 and I-29 raised the speed limits on April 1st 2015. Eight years later only seven other states join us with speed limits of 80 miles per. So if you was to drive from Sioux Falls on I-90 at 70 miles per hour it would take you about 5 hours, but at 80 you have shaved off a good half hour. Just another reason we love South Dakota! Oh and Hawaii has the lowest highway speed limits at 60, but if you are not paying attention you could end up in a lava pool 🙂
